RDS on Star 98.7

I really like RDS when it is done right. Since so many stations don't announce songs, it's really neat when you can at least read the song and artist on the radio screen.

Star 98.7, unfortunately, seems to have a problem: according to the RDS screen, it's been playing Better Than Ezra's "Juicy" for at least the past two weeks, maybe three. Does anyone know what makes the system lock onto one song like that? It does it on all three of my radios with RDS screens, so it's not my radio.

Funny; just today they finally changed it. Slogan only, no song titles as before. Must be something wrong with equipment.
 
Sounds like someone is asleep on the job. RDS has been known to stall from time-to-time, so someone from the Engineering or Programming staff needs to regularly monitor its successful operation (maybe when they do transmitter readings). Kind of ridiculous that an LA station is not on top of that.
