Re: 95.3 WZXI

Re: 95.3 WZXI

Hello, The 99.3 is not that of WZXI, It's great to here the good old jingles and the mix of music again. 95.3 WZXI was on the air back in 1998 in N/E Philly and was running 250 watts with a 3db gain (750+) WZXI was MIX 95.3 before Mix 95.7 was MIX,
The reason for MIX was each Dj played what they liked, or what was requested. We had great music and cool jingles and only played on the weedends.
All the WZXI Dj's loved takin request and putting that special someone on the air. We did remotes from various bar's and clubs as well as block parties.

Thank You, Philadelphia for the memories of (5+ Great years)

And, to be honest....ZXI had BETTER processing than ANY area station!!! It really brought out the sound of the records.

Not to mention the one remote where "one of the DJ's", in a drunken haze, proclaimed a complete stranger female "The (insert year here) HEY NOW! Girl of the Year!!!". I believe that same jock hit on one of the other jock's girls and, subsequentially, was banned from the station forever.

Ahhhhhhh, old radio stories.......gotta love em!<P ID="signature">______________
