Gotta assume she was fired for something she did, because WEWS was heavily pushing her in a Kristi Capel-esque fashion.

Was she squawking about $$? Did she do something 5 considered a no-no? Who knows?

But to go from a golden girl to a Soviet style purge of all mention...something behind the scenes had to have gone down. IMO, channel 5's hand was forced.

Maybe she must have left on her own terms. I will say that Alicia definitely did not last long. She was only at WEWS for three or four months, and two with the revamped morning show crew. The "Good Morning Cleveland" promos have been re-edited with different outfits (and even hairstyles) for the remaining members.

For right now, anchors Mike Dunston and Macie Jepson are alternating with traffic duties. Not sure if the station is going to replace Alicia, having an existing staffer take over or just have Dunston and/or Jepson handle the road conditions.

This is probably the shortest anyone has ever spent on "GMC." Even, Trisha Skidmore (remember her?) lasted longer back in 2007 than Alicia. Yet, Patty Harken put in a good three years between Trisha and Alicia. Maybe they could've kept her at 5. Alicia's departure also proves how unstable "GMC" has been since Stephanie Roberts left back in late 2005 after she, Danita Harris and Adam Shapiro lasted over two years together and even overtook WKYC for second place at one time.
