Re: Scott "You know" Brown on WRKO.
Who said WJDA is dead. Thought the local Quincy radio station signed off this summer but I swear it was back in the form of WRKO's 9-12 slot. 'JDA had a so-called talk program called "Party Line" and this is what RKO's segment sounds like in the form of state senator Scott "You know" Brown. Brown may have an accomplished daughter, Alya and wife, Channel 5's Gail Huff but I hope he is a better legislator and lawyer than a talk show host. He has the annoying vocal crutch that he throws in every few sentences. Specifically, Brown keeps saying "You know" just like some Valley Girl saying "like" every other word.
WRKO has to do better than this.
Perhaps, they should could consider someone like Karen Marinella who is a real news professional. Channel 56 is ending the 10 O'Clock News in December and she will be available. She has a great voice and she is a native, Plymouth. So, Karen Marinella has a true sense of this area.
If she comes off like a news person that's okay. Maybe that is exactly what WRKO needs after all the turmoil on that station.
