I'll add this factual comment -- without malice.

ed has attacked David Eduardo for more than a year. It apparently stems from a discussion of high-powered Mexican stations, and the fact that ed was mistaken about the location of the legendary XEG in Monterrey.

Frankly, I don't see why it is so important one way or the other. But it is an undisputed fact that XEG is located in Monterrey.

I do not know David personally, nor do I agree or defend every post that he has written. However, his reputation in radio is well known, if not to mr. murrow.

ed will attack David at any time, belittling him, despite David's command of the facts.

When David presents, for example, information on how Arbitron sampling is done, ed has responded to this and other posts by calling him "countryboy".

But his attacks are not just confined to David, it extends onto the Texas radio and TV boards.

For my part, I have not always been fair to ed, but I am attempting to be fair now.

To end this, I will reveal my identity to ed, ed can reveal his identity to me (in private, not to the Radio-info.com board), let's meet and let's settle this problem he has with David Eduardo, with me and with others.

In fact, I will post my real name on this board if it will end this vindictiveness. Several already know it. I posted my name in the past for months and have no problem doing it again.

Except -- when I know that I am wrong, or was proved wrong, I have admitted it.

Most recently on the Oldies board.

But a little less acrimony might be nice.

Many of the posts have nothing to do with radio, and I am as guilty as anyone.

If you read closely, He did not respond "directly" to David, and further more after several more posts by David he did not say anything at all,only to others in the thread. David appears to want to antagonize him at times. So far it has held.

He is combative by nature, and maybe he is knowledgable,but he makes it appear than no one knows more than he. That is why I ended my recent debate with him. His other flaw in a debate is he talks down to the other person. That is why I gave him a slight dose of his own medicine,to get him flustered.

I have tried to get Ray to tell me his real name before, and have had a pretty vitriolic email conversation with him in the past (containing many actionable accusations, I might add), but he REALLY likes his anonymity.

Don't get me wrong... he does know radio, and he will offer any assistance he can to those that need it (radio-wise), but I think if you are going to make any sort of inflammatory, degrading, or downright rude comments about anyone, you should have the cajones to back them up. By that, I mean you should allow others to know who you are so that they can see from what angle your comments come.

Batman, you and I have disagreed in the past, and I like that. eddie-boy, there's no love lost between you and I, and that's fine by me.

But I have contact info in my profile. I admit to who I am. Any comments I make, I will stick to and stand by. And it someone calls me on anything I say, fine.

Oh, and for the record, I know that I'm not always right. I once thought that I was wrong...

I know, not the best thing to say, but it makes a point. People fighting about whos got the bigger 12 inches of knowledge of the business is just sheer idiocracy. I say leave all the ego and bitterness aside and just converse about the business. Nothing wrong with the occasional debate, but lets keep it civil gents and ladies.

No, I really don't mind it. I mentioned that in my previous post.

My point was simply this: If you thought what I was doing to ed was wrong, then why did you do it to me?

I don't consider it "stalking". You may.

As I mentioned, perhaps on the Texas board, it began when he began attacking people I know. Then it became personal ... or as personal as it can be with someone you don't know, or may not know.

Are you really that much of an a**? I have a relative that is mentally challenged and I have done a lot of work with Special Olympics and it doesn't matter what the website is, that is just plain rude!!!
