There is no correlation between spelling ability and intelligence. Among the best spellers are idiots savants, in fact.

I can not spell worth a dime in English, yet am nearly 100% perfect in Spanish and other romance languages. In other words, there is no logic and no connection with raw intelligence.

Don't even bother acknowledging his ignorant diatribes. That's what he likes. It's a sad existence, but I suppose someone has to live it.
