Re: your first Central PA Gig (revisited)

Re: your first Central PA Gig (revisited)

I had the opportunity to scan through these topics and pages, and boy, did the memories come flooding back. Particularly the early 80's at FM-97. We had alot of competition back in those days... Q-106, 98-YCR, Y-102 in Reading, WIFI-fm in Philly and a whole lot more. One thing comes to mind - Those stations were owned by small companies, family-owned and/or a few wealthy individuals. Those were "the days". And all of those great personalities that I had the chance to work with and those who I met in the 12 years that I was in radio, it was super. Also had the opportunity to attend the 30 year reunion of QV-93 last year. It was a great two days. Those of us who were the originals to take the station on the air for the first time will hold a special friendship........ "the pleasure's been all mine... if by chance I've made your day, for just one second....this whole thing has been worth it. And if you've been listening in your car, thanks for the ride..........."
