Reach FM - anyone listening?

Reach FM is heard on 88.3 WVBH in Ocean County and 97.1 W246AQ in the Camden area.

I think this station sounds great!

The format is Christian CHR. I'm reasonbly sure that Reach FM is the ONLY Christian CHR in New Jersey.

Listening to the station, you really wouldn't think that it is a Christian station, it sounds remarkably like New York's Z100 and Philly's Q102.

Even if you're not into the music I suggest checking it out.

Thier top 5 songs for this week are:
1) Joy Williams "We"
2) Nichole Nordeman "What If"
3) Tree63 "I Stand For You"
4) Telecast "Everything"
5) Joel Engle "Shadow Of Your Cross"

Reach FM's website is http://www.thereachfm.com/index.html

I've heard it. It's nice having something different in the area, but quite frankly, it's a little too wholesome and sweet for my blood - even more so than G Rock Radio at their most cloying and precious. I am religious, but all of these songs are just too earnest for me - but then again, what do you expect from Christian music?

I'm not bashing, but how is that playlist sounding "remarkably like" Z100 and Q102? Just in the presentation, you mean?

Isn't Star (99.1?) a Christian station? The billboards I see talk about being "safe for families"...

From what I've heard there is actually a musical genre known as "Christian Gangsta Rap". That gives a whole new meaning to the old Frankie Valli song, "Swearin' To God"....

It's a common mistake to not use punctuation in its proper form.

Imaging and presentation.

Star 99.1 is Christian Adult Contemporary, Reach FM is Christian CHR.

That's correct. Check out the group Grits. Exalting His name through dope rhymes, hot beats, and pimped-out rides! I happened to catch them flipping through channels, finding out later that it was a Christian music show.

I thought the 97.1 frequency was one of the many repeators of WHXL, licensed to Collingswood, NJ, it is a 10w flamethrower using the WMMR backup tower on the PSFS building. Is this one and the same WHXL, the 97.1 signal gets out really far, even though it overlaps their 103.5 signal in Aston, PA using the Crane trucking tower right off I-95 and 452.

Yes, 88.3 in Beach Haven West and 97.1 in Collingswood both simulcast WXHL from Delaware ...
