Reading Phillies on WRAW

I'm surprised that the Reading Phillies went to WRAW when they were on an all-sports station(1240 AM) for many years. That doesn't make sense. WRAW's signal is worse than WIOV-AM's is.

I noticed yesterday that W253AC 98.5FM in Reading now simulcasts 1240 WIOV-AM ESPN Radio.

My bet is Cumulus not the Reading Phillies made this decision. Were the Reading Phillies sold out last season on 1240? If they weren't making money, there's no way this relationship would continue. I think Cumulus has other plans in mind....

with 1240 on FM now, luring the Phillies away from WEEU by next season.
