A shame a viable show that fits the E/I requirements perfectly far and beyond can't even make it to broadcast air these days.

Considering that they had to get permission from the publishers and the authors for permission to feature the books in the program, I'm sure royalties come into play, just like the case involving music in reruns of shows such as WKRP.

That, plus the fact that many of the shows that air outside of PBS has that "sorry, but we must show this or get fined" kind of air to it.

It's up to the station, network or supplier to determine the size of the E/I logo, as long as it's easily visible and is on during the entire duration of the program, except commercials. The E/I bug for PBS is not that big.
