"Real Country" Stations in AL.

Does anyone know of any stations in AL that carry ABC's "Real Country?" I know of 1050 WWIC-Scottsboro and 107.7 WPRN-Butler, but don't know of any others left.

When I've been near a fast internet connection, I've been tuning in to Real Country 105.9 KIRC in Shawnee, OK. If anyone is obessed with the format as much as I am, here's a valuable link: www.kirc1059.com ;)

WPRN-FM dropped Real Country a month or two ago. They are now airing "God's Country", a Christian-oriented country format.

Yep....I stand corrected....they changed to America's Best Country when they changed their moniker to "Coyote Country"....I had forgotten all about that.

93.7 Dothan/Enterprise
(i think)

I also heard 106.3 "real country" from time to time, don't know if that's AL.

106.3 used to be "Real Country," they dropped it for "Today's Best Country." 93.7 in Enterprise/Dothan is US93.7, which from what I understand is like the rest of the cookie-cutter stations.

Where is 105.3 from? I hear it during tropo events as we have a local 6KW 'seabreeze" here

105.3 is WDBT out of Dothan, they are a News/Talk station. Before that they were known as "Country Legends 105.3." Now, Dothan lacks a Classic Country station with a city grade signal. And the answer to the previous question about 106.3 is yes, 106.3 is out of Brewton, AL; off US 31.

Tallred you need to no what your talking about before you speak. 93.7 is far from cookie cutter....real country would be cookie cutter any satelite is cookie cutter I laugh at so many people who think the know so much but they open their mouth and brains fall out !!!!!

Sorry about that; I have only very briefly listened to the station, and when I said "cookie cutter" I meant that they basically played the same country mix as most of the other 100 kw FM's around. In other words, it didn't sound like they went against the grain and play a very large amount of country like Waylon or Willie, or other legendary artists that would set them apart from the others. I did not mean any harm.

By the way, when I open my mouth brains don't fall out; they fell out a long time ago :D

Thanks for the update. I'm not sure where I got the term "US 93.7" from. When I heard them around the 1st of November, they were playing mostly what the other stations play. Do they play more legendary artists than the others do? If they do, I guess I will be eating crow.
