Reality Police Shows Question??????

I didnt notice until a local talk show host mentioned it today. These reality Cop shows Cops,Alaska State Troopers etc..When they are approaching the house,Apt Trailer etc. the camera crew stays out side.No longr do they go inside for the bust. Was there a lawsuit or something that this doesn't happen anymore and the production crew kinda hangs outside?

There was an incident involving LAPD: Life on the Street in which the family of someone who was shot by police, and eventually died, was filmed, and aired and the LAPD and the shows producers were sued later.

I think, more recently, a COPS crew was injured.

It could be one incident or the other or a combination of the two that led to the change you've noticed.
