REBATES = NEGATIVE VIBE

In the past I've sampled XM & Sirius. I will be signing up for both services soon. I get a negative vibe from Sirius with their rebates. Do I want them to be playing with my money? No way! I don't understand their marketing plan. When I see the bad word (rebate) I run from that product. I want nothing to do with rebates.

I believe Sirius would have over 4 million customers by now if didn't have rebates. Don't play games with the public. Give the customer the discount at point of sale.

I hear ya man...Rebates are a big pain in the azz. They make the rebates as difficult to figure out, and as time consuming as possible,, Reson being......(TO DISCOURAGE PEOPLE FROM SENDING THEM IN), they figure people will go ahead and buy it, since they are getting the money back, but the reality is, alot of people dont mess with rebates, because they are a pain. And that means the company gets to keep that extra cash. Not only that, but sometimes the rebates take a freaking year to get back to ya, if they ever show up at all.

> REBATE FORM SAYS UNITS PURCHASED FROM BJ'S,COSTCO,SAM'S,TARGET AND WALMART NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE 50.00 REBATE..NOW THAT SUCKS....SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM..where the hell did they expect you to get one, Sally's Baton Twirling shop....or maybe jiffy lube...they need to get REAL on this crap...

Both services have offered rebates at one time or another. It basically boils down to where you get your unit from-I got both my Sirius and XM through Wal_mart, no rebate needed..

I could be wrong on this, bu if I'm not mistaken, at least in Wal-Marts end, the reason that the rebate isn't eligible for Wal-Mart purchases of units is because many times, Wal-Mart will mark the product down to the post rebate price.

Scam??

When you buy the thing you get the rebate form so how is this a scam? You go never mind and head to Best Buy, Circuit City or 100 other electronic stores that give the rebate.

Sheesh.
