Rebecca Stewart dropped from Fox61 Mornings show

:(It was in the Curant today..Rebecca is leaving Fox 61 Morning Show to "spend more time with her son at home." B.S. Baloney. Company PR spin. Don't buy it for one moment. She even said on the air "I've been asked to leave the morning show." She's being replaced by a couple of their unknown 20something newbie former MTV host - beauty pagaent winners to sit next to KenDoll Burns. This is a bonehead move by typically stupid TV station management. Rebecca is an experienced trusted journalist who's known to Connecticut viewers. Now all they want are hot young inexpensive news models. I hope Rebecca dumps 61 for greener pasteurs. This is why local TV news is deteriorating. I took a look at this show occasionally..now forget it..it's back to Ch. 30. :(
 
Except for the CT Lottery drawings, I don't have WTIC's news on at all now. Rich Cappola should leave and go to another station in the market. He's the only one left that I can tolerate there.
 
Wonder where she will land if the story with spending more time with her son isn't true. She would be great on channel 3 or maybe 30 would want her.

Wow this is shocking news. As far as I'm concerned, she is/was the face of the FOX61 Morning Show. I wonder if she is completely gone from the station or is taking some time off in preparation of their new Noon and evening shows coming this Fall? I guess I can't understand why they'd dump someone like this who helped get the show off the ground and where it is today. And in my opinion, she's far better than the ladies at 3 and 8 in the morning (I'd say she's tied with the girl at NBC30).

Didn't someone in this forum recently report that Tribune was advertising a position for Morning Anchor at the station? I wonder how long she knew about this and how long it's been in the works for? I guess no station or media group is immune from making stupid decisions. ???
