Rebecca Thomas Last Day at KNXV

Rebecca Thomas is leaving ABC affiliate in Phoenix. Just announced on the ABC 15 NOW at 3 p.m. show this afternoon. She announced on her twitter at least a week ago her last day would be today. Last words were she will see us very soon. Possibly another station, just personal speculation.

I have always found her to be a professional as a news anchor at ABC 15 in the short time I have lived in the Valley of the Sun.

Who knows? Rebecca could show up as the weekend anchor over at KPHO!

It's too bad that Rebecca and Susan ended up on Now @ 3pm! They are both talented, but got put in an obscure timeslot. I thought they did a great job in the mornings, but apparently the viewers didn't.
 
I personally loved the Now show at 9 but don't really care for the short form Now show at 3. Will be interested to see where Rebecca ends up ;-)
 
Sorry to see Rebecca Thomas go. I watched ABC15 when she took Tracy Kornet's place. Thomas was also a member of ABC15's All Woman team of Thomas, Jen Burgess, Kaley O'Kelley and Andi Barness. Lastly, Thomas was on air talking to their helicopter when it crashed into 3TVs helicopter. She made most of the national coverage of the tragedy.
 
Just took a peek at her Facebook page and she posted that Starting next Monday, June 25, I am going to be spending some time with the great folks over at CBS 5. I am very excited! :)
 
Her statement makes it sound like a termporary position...interim weekend evening anchor at KPHO, perhaps, until August 27th???
 
I don't watch KPHO much, but the TV inside the Dentist office :-X was tuned to CBS5 and I saw Rebecca Thomas doing a field report. To me she looked a little different and I didn't immediately recognize her. Glad she is getting some TV time.

Thought the same thing yet I can't put my finger on what is different.

(Subdued or more professional clothing instead of the bright colors she had to wear to compete with her co-hosts glossy lipstick?)

When I saw Thomas doing her report, it wasn't one of those Extreme ABC15 Closeups. Maybe that's what threw me off.
