Just curious to know what people think of WMEX...a friend who's a seasoned radio professional grew up near Boston in the 1960s and was a huge fan of WMEX (top 40). Through a convoluted series of events he recently acquired the call sign, formed a non-profit organization, and got himself an FCC-approved low-power FM license (LPFM) in Rochester, NH. He's also streaming it online. he asked a bunch of us, his professional radio pals, to do "airshifts" (remotely voice tracking). It's all '50s, '60s and '70s oldies. He also has the original jingles and had some new ones cut to sing the names of us current DJs! It's a lot of fun, but I just want to know if anyone think this is a cool idea...and if you've listened at all, what are your impressions?
Thanks!
