They don’t need to know the original. That’s somewhat the point.

Whatever, Grampa...my point still stands. Something like The Waltons seems out of place on a network like The CW, especially a period piece. But the what the f*** do I know, especially since you have all of the answers...

Who has ever heard of a network taking a swing at something outside their wheelhouse. That’s never happened in TV history. 😆😆
 
Was also on Syndie in 2008-09 season was canceled was on WOTV at 5PM until Wendy Williams debut in July of 09 was moved to WXSP in the late-night hours for the last couple of months before the repeats ended.
From what I remember, that version was hosted by Christopher Knight & leaned heavily into the "play at home & win" aspect. This version also aired on KSHB in Kansas City, MO. I wonder if the LeVar Burton version will also have the "play at home & win" aspect as well?
