Reboots

It's too bad they didn't try a reboot years ago when Florence Henderson was still alive, and the kids in their 30's or 40's. Robert Reed was the first actor from the series to die. The storyline could have had Carol Brady now widowed, trying to pick up the pieces and find new love. And all the adult issues being faced by the now grown up Brady kids.
Maybe they should do a prequel series. Explore the first marriages of Carol and Mike Brady and the lives of the children during that period. The show could then deal with the deaths of the first spouses, Mike and Carol meeting each other, and their engagement. The prequel series could end with a remake of the first episode of the original show.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

It’s official…

Here it is…

And for fun, cast minor roles for the Brady kids from the original series, as the grandparents, older relatives, next door neighbor...

Are you ready to return to Walnut Creek?
It was Walnut Grove, MN. But what I've seen makes it sound like they are going to follow the books more. The first season will be following the second book, (which was titled Little House on the Prairie) which took place in Kansas when there was a possibility of opening up "Indian Territory" (which is now Oklahoma) to settlers.

I don't remember whether it was just the TV series or the books but Pa was much more of a heroic character than in real life. Will that change?
