Well, seems like talk radio on FM will to do very well in Mobile (My guess anyway..enough to pay the bills, and if anybody can sell it, my old motown pal Bill Roth is da man to make the green!). It is gonna be interesting to see how they do in the ratings, though they are sure to steal older men (except in the morning when they will crash and burn against the syndicated funny guys in town). The rocket seems to have a lot of syndicated voices these days, and it sounds a lot better (mid days..nights...etc.)!...too bad they can't/won't dump Chip in pm drive and send him back to the production room. God he is wornout..does he realize when he says "rocket rush chairman, damm glad to meet you" every freaking daythat he is referencing a movie (animal house) that is older than a lot of his listeners?...and when will a "classic rock" station quit playing that disco song "weekend" every friday at 5pm...god, what a tuneout factor...hey guys, nobody cares that wet willie did it...it is still a vastly anoying dico song! (Can you say tune-out factor)
Hey...where did Charlie ocean go when the pirate sunk? a great air talent...hope he finds a gig...hell, he would be a great replacement for chip at the rocket!
I sure wish someone would start to run alice coopers show down here....but that is what internet radio is for huh? (I catch him on WCSX-FM in Detroit via the internet)
