Recent PPM ratings

Some stations giving what listeners want, and moving UP- KPBS(mono mostly) KSDS, XPRS, KSON, Jack & XHITZ.
These others aren't, and headed down, (plus my comments); KBG- tooo much DSC, voice tracking. ; KIOZ -
distortion, smashed ;KCSF-see KIOZ; KUSS; KPRI-deserves better; XHMOR-to sports format, now one of 3 1/2 sports
outlets in town. Did I miss anybody important going down?
Also..
Let's see what happens to the FCB trio after new operators take over. Disgruntled ex-CC employee tells me "leading"
bidder has "ABC" in their name....
Uphill battle ahead= KSIQ; wish 'em luck.

AS this plays out, if a white knight comes in and has a bigger bid than the local San Diego group ... they'll "win". As David points out, all they are buying is the marketing agreement and office furniture. It's a stay tuned item that has to be played out -- on Thursday.

Besides that, there's always the Mikey show ... wait, there's the Jeff and Jer ... nope ... Ahh, the good ole DSC ... not there either. Is it me, or does radio suck this week?

like to find out the ratings now that dave shelly and chainsaw are gone off the kgb..i noticed not that many sponcers are left on the kgb..i wouldnt be suprised if kgb folded..

classic rock stations seem to be doing pretty well across the country in PPM. KGB has been one of them and that is even outside of morning drive. While it will certainly be challenging since they still will be the only classic rock station in town their ratings should remain pretty decent. In addition while they may not want to lose some sponsors they can afford to lower rates or lose some sponsors and still end up being a more profitable business. I'm not suggesting that is the right way to go....but I wouldn't expect KGB to go away anytime soon.
