Crazy by Gnarls Barkely. Heard on WFNX, the former WILD-FM,Kiss 108, Mix 98.5, WBOS. Just to mention a few.

"Dude Looks Like A Lady" could be played on both: AEROSMITH.

Hey - speaking of WAAF:

Didn't WAAF launch Tesla's "Signs" ? WRKO launch Rick Derringer's "Rock 'n' Roll Hoochie Coo"?

Could be an entirely new thread, what hit songs launched out of Boston?

1)Louie Louie - WMEX Arnie Ginsburg

2)Maggie Mae - John H. Garabedian

When Michael Jackson's Thriller and Prince's 1999 came out, almost all stations were playing them. KISS and BCN. Go figure.

Probably opening a huge can of worms here but......

It speaks to how segregated radio has become that rock stations will play rap, but only if it's by a white frat-boy act like the Beastie Boys. Why play Matisyahu instead of Ziggy Marley? Are we back to 1955 again?
