Recent WMLB, WAFS, and WYZE Applications

Noticed some recent FCC filings within the last month for Atlanta AMs...

* WMLB, 1690 kHz, has applied to move across the road on Cheshire Bridge to the WAFS tower and be duplexed from there. WMLB transmit power will remain the same at 10kW day, 1kW night. However, the (current) WAFS tower is slightly shorter which changes the electrical height from 223 deg to 170 deg at 1690 kHz. The (current) WMLB tower is relatively new and was built when 1690 moved to the Cheshire Bridge antenna farm area. What is going here? There was a construction permit issued last year to move the nightime signal of sister station WCFO 1160 kHz to the (current) WMLB tower, but that hasn't happened yet. Is this still the plan?

* Speaking of WAFS, there was an application for WAFS, 1190 kHz, to increase critical hours power from 2.3kW to 25kW (daytime power will remain the same at 25kW). Looks like more RF power on the (current) WAFS stick.

* Across town at WYZE, 1480 kHz, an application has been made with the FCC to increase daytime power from 5kW to 10kW. No other changes there.

My understanding is that the lease on the current 1690 site was fairly short-term. 5 years if I recall. That would be about right.

Word is Joe Weber has purchased the land and tower site for 970 and 1190 from the Dickie boys owners of 680 am. Now Salem may be looking for a new site.

Actually, the original lease was from the City of Atlanta for a 99 year term. BUT, it was renegotiated every 5 years as to price.

If Salem does have to vacate the site, I'm wondering whether one of the stations could diplex on the 920 tower, which is also located in AM Transmitter Heaven on Cheshire Bridge Road. I don't know whether I've ever heard of more than 2 AM's on the same tower. Maybe someone with an engineering background could enlighten me.
