Reception in Stone Harbor, NJ

I'll be vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ next week, and I was wondering which Ocean City, MD and Delmarva stations can be received in that area. Can 95.9 WOSC, Q105, 93.5 The Beach, 101.7 The B, and Lite Rock 103.5 be received? I'm thinking it might be hard to get 103.5 due to co-channel interference from 103.7 The Shark. I liked listening to 105.5 Kiss-FM/Salisbury, MD when I was in OC last month, but I know that can't be picked up due to 105.5 The Buzz/Cape May, NJ.

You can get the DelMarVa stations, but on a car radio, unless you have a decent radio. In my car...gangbusters....in the house, bupkis.

Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Cape May down by the ocean. The Delmarva's come in like locals. First time I ever heard Ocean 98.
______________

>>95.9 WOSC<<
Fair reception

>>Q105<<
Good reception

>>93.5 The Beach<<
Good reception

>>101.7 The B<<
Weak/Marginal reception

>>Lite Rock 103.5<<
No reception

Probably depends on your radio and antenna. Best indicator is to go to www.radio-locator.com . Type in your location and when it brings you a list, go back and select "fringe" stations. These should come in on most car radios, although you may encounter some problems. You can search again for "distant" stations and you'll get ones that will come in with a little bit of coaxing. Your best shot, as someone else already said, would be to go down to the tip of the cape or even to the Delaware Bay side. You almost always get better reception when you're close to the water.

Bad news on the "96 ROCK" front

I was pulling in WOSC-FM the other day, and after the football broadcast ended, I was hoping to hear some of the excellent Modern-leaning Active Rock that this format provides. Unfortunately, what I heard was some loop playing songs like "A Change Would Do You Good" (Sheryl Crow) and "Changes" (David Bowie) along with some Latin pop tripe (Ricky Martin, Shakira), interspersed with dialogue that was bashing rock music. Chalk up another one for the greedy Goliath Clear Channel, taking another good station off the air for something they think will be more successful.

I just found out about this station this summer, when I was in Wildwood and needed a substitute for WDOX. As soon as I found out that Clear Channel was the owner, I knew they had ulterior motives.
Oh well, so long to 96 Rock - we hardly knew ye.

Just checked out the playlist on their website - it appears that 96 Rock is back on (for now), but judging by the song selections that were listed, they have taken a turn for the mainstream. They are now playing stuff like Green Day and a lot more classic rock (I saw George Thorogood, Red Rider and Talking Heads among recently played tracks). I listened to them mostly at night, so I'm not sure if their day and night programming is any different, but if this is their new sound, it's definitely a disappointment over what they were before.
