I posted this before, but I figured I'd give it another shot. I live in Providence, near RIC, and have only a tv top antenna. I get wonderful reception for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CW, PBS and from Boston NBC, CBS, CW & PBS. I also kind of get the ION (Pax) channel 68 from Boston, but not as much as a hint of 69 ION (Pax) from RI. Is the signal very weak in RI?

WPXQ is licensed to Block Island, so a good portion of their signal is broadcast to the ocean. You can search the FCC database for their service map.

Actually I do, just forgot to list it. I went to the FCC site and the coverage map shows very complete coverage through my location. That's why I'm trying to figure it out. That, and the fact that Who's the Boss and the Wonder Years are on every night... now that's fun!

WPXQ-TV (ION) channel 69 is licensed to Block Island, but their transmitter is in Exeter. Here in central Connecticut, when I move my antenna to pick up WHPX-DT (ION) channel 34 [analog 26] of New London, CT, I wind up getting WPXQ-DT channel 17 at the same time. Sometimes, the signal is actually MORE stable than WHPX's is! GO figure! :)

As for your reception from Providence, do you get WUNI-TV (UNI) channel 27 from Worcester or channel 66 (Telefutura) from Marlborough, MA? What about the religious station on channel 48 from Worcester?

Actually it's in Hopkinton, RI. It's very close to the CT border.
