Recommended FM Receivers for Sage-Endec EAS

Looking for FM radios to monitor LP1 & LP2 at the tower site. Any recommendations.

Pretty much any FM table radio which will receiver the needed stations reliably will work. Take a line to voice coil transformer and hook the 8 ohm side to the radio's speaker or headphone jack, and use the 70 volt side as an isolated feed for the ENDEC.
\Both Burke and Sage used to sell little one card receivers which they packaged up foor this use in multiples.. you might find one of them. Or and old Johnson-aire or McMartin fix - tuned SCA receiver. All the ENDEC needs is program audio.

A chain I work with uses the TFT receiver panel (generally with 2 FM's & 1 weather receiver) with the Endec. Not the cheapest way to go, but in most instances, they don't get swamped by the FM transmitter on site and are generally trouble free for extended periods.

Rolls makes little half-rack size tuners that will sit quite nicely in the rack shelf made for broadcast tools gadgets.

The Sony HD tuner also works reasonably well--if you can find one--and are cheap (the ones I bought from Amazon were under $100). Of course, if you get a power glitch they turn off--but that's true of a lot of consumer tuners.

For weather radio the Hamtronics receiver cards are about the best for the price. You need to build an enclosure, I put a pair in a handy box and mounted the box to a rack panel.
