Record Collector and rabid music fan in central Texas on a radio history mission

Hello!

My name is Bill

I've stumbled across this place on a very specific research mission (which I will soon post in broadcast history thread)

I'm 42 years old, spent my first 19 years on earth in south Texas (Corpus Christi / kingsville) but the last 22 years I've been in Austin and as of 3 years ago Kyle, TX just south of Austin.

I'm a vinyl collector, lover of all things music and collecting, avid billiards player/nerd, father, paint and draw for a hobby, American football fan.

I'm not a vendor, or interested in vinyl to purchase and resell later. I've been collecting 25 years and have MAYBE sold 20 records during that time.

Hope to get to know yall and hope someone here can help me on my research journey soon to be posted in broadcast history thread.

I also love local radio programming. I love calling into radio shows and hoping to be the 7th caller to answer the trivia question and win a concert ticket.

Thanks,

Bill

Welcome Bill. I share the same name. I'm in radio, a music lover and a fan of local radio that's responsive to the community.

I have divested my vinyl except for some that never went to CD. I transfered my vinyl to minidisc. I calculated if I listen to my collection, I would listen boit 5.75 hours a day for a year before I'd repeat.

The small market station I work for is KGAF up the freeway in Gainesville, Texas. www.kgaf.net and see our Facebook page to watch Steve's video of Swap It To Me.
