RECORD SET IN EL PASO DISC-A-THON?

In a May 1957, disc-a-thon in Beaumont, the Big Bopper beat the record for continuous broadcasting that was set by somebody in El Paso ca. 1957. Does anyone know who the DJ was and what station he was at? (For my book on the Big Bopper and other musicians).
