Records still get stuck

But it sounds much weirder today than when it happened to LPs and 45s.

I wonder how long it took someone to notice what was happening at WMAG on July 1?

OK...I'll bite...what happened?
??? NOBODY here heard this?

Between 11 and 11:30 I kept hearing the same very brief sequence of sounds. It was like a very annoying stunt. Back in the days of LPs you could say the record got stuck.

Back in the old days the records got stuck; now, with CDs and carousel changers, the merry-go-round broke down.

Or, in the case of wave files, the computer crashed. Or the audio card. Or the automation software. Or the network card between the audio server and the studio computer. Or the... heck, any number of things.

But hey, at least we don't have carts that get jammed and set the studio on fire anymore!

This is just like when 102Jamz' Jamz machine broke!

This just didn't make nearly the ruckus as that stunt. I think it was even in the papers!
