Recreate 80' WHTZ chain

Here is a 60 minutes with the Dominator but ultra light settings

It can give you an idea of the chain BBE 802, Texar Audio Prims, Yamaha REV5, Orban Stereo Enhancer and Dominator 700

Merry Christmas

Bonjour Dylan:

I would install regular potentiometers until you find the multiturn pots with counter scales inexpensively. Here is an idea, and you may be able to replace the 1k Bourns pots with the desired values:

Of course, ask Frank Foti if multi-turn pots are necessary.

Dan

Thank you so much @W1DAN-

I already found the 6 first pots for the attack/release and waiting the other ones that coming from Mexico in few days!

Here is the 6 first ones installed on the panel, it is not perfect but it's clean

Things are never easy...
Apparently there are 2 versions of Aphex 700 Dominator
The first one with VCA 1537 Aphex than (mine) with the VCA 1001 Aphex
I can't find anywhere the schematics of the version I have and we need it!
If someone get the schematics contains the VCA 1001 if will be super helpful
Thanks a lot for your help guys

What do the clock hands inside them do?
Point precisely to the number of revolutions the pot has made.

Better than a ten-turn pot with a screwdriver. These types of pots were used in custom electronics for testing purposes.

Hi Dylan:

Looks great! How does it sound? I would give the Dominator/Vigilante a rack space above for some radiational cooling (i.e. move it down to just above the 8100A) and add a vented rack panel above it similar to what you did in the upper section.

Dan

Very meticulous work on the Vigilante's front, and the finished cabinet looks absolutely wonderful. Great work! I second W1DAN's request.

Speaking of which, this URL does not allow downloading without an Apple account:
Hi Dylan,

can you share it again? It is not working anymore :-(
