Today Recuerdos 106.5 fm had two Technical problems. Well maybe not two but at least one. First right before Piolin Por La Manana show ended, Instead of saying KOVE Recuerdos 106.5 they said KLTN Estereo Latino 102.9. Then at three they had a moment of silence for about 4 minutes. And they dont air the Piolin Por La manana show anymore till 1pm. They stop at 12 noon.

You'd think that if you listend, you would by now know that the station is called Recuerdo, without an "s."

Re: Univision Houston Technical Problems

And this morning at 8-ish, KLAT 1010 La Tremenda went off the air for about 5 minutes. When they came back Rolando Becerra commented on how having the most technologicaly advanced studio equipment won't prevent this sort of things from happening. :p

LOL, we had some technical difficulties with our Axia console. unfortunately i had to remove the console power supply and copy its settings over to another spare unit and swap them out at that hour. audio over ip, network routers, has its ups and downs. its cool what you can do with all the new technology but it sux when something goes wrong and you just cant swap parts or go over to some hardware backup becuase its all network. what was cool is that i can take the entire console off , no power no nothing, but it will remain on the air, so as long you left the channels on and faders up, then unplug, the mix engine will continue where the console was left off. now consoles are just keyboards, no audio runs thru it, you just control it.

I havent dealt with the Axias but if they use an Audio Engine like Logitech, etc, the only audio that goes through it is mic and headphone...all other audio goes straight to the engine (router) and the console is more of a remote control panel than it is a true mixer console. I know the Rubicon is like that from SAS....the Harris (their piece of junk router) doesnt do that. The Digital BMX is still a mixer.

In the Axias case none of the audio actually goes through the "console". All audio goes through the audio mix engine via audio input/ouput nodes. The systems seems to work well, but keep in mind that the mix engine and the control surfaces GPIO are fairly cheap pc motherboards.
