RED 102.3

Well put Scooter, most of the stuff on here is tabloid material anyway. Nothing should be taken to heart. However, there are some who feel there word is holyer than thou. Its all just bathroom fodder. I'm glad to see someone had the stones enough to say something positive. Not even sure if this guy reads these posts but if he does I hope he takes nothing out of it but a good laugh.

While many jocks are thin-skinned and don't take to criticism well, I've learned to embrace it. It's the old, "say what you want about me, just spell my name right". Heck, after years of simply stalking the boards and not posting I was thrilled that I was finally noticed in SOME way, so I was compelled to get into the conversation (hence, my screen name as an homage to my first mention here). I don't take it to heart because I know I'm not going to be everyone's cup of tea and opinions are like...well, you know, everybody has one. ;)

To afternoon no talent...
Have you been shown any ratings?...
Frankly, not your fault!..lighten up!... nothing personal.

Whoever your G.M. and or lack of P.D. is. should have been removed long ago!
Reality check is: Mix is a waste of 50,000 watts!

How can anybody deny that?

I listened to this wunderkind on Saturday night into Sunday morning. The five minutes of dead air around 1am was an interesting tack.

RED 102.3 has good songs. That's the entire "pro" list, unfortunately. The afternoon drive guy has all the technical acumen of a profoundly-retarded and blind chimpanzee.

And can someone please inform the WCAT staff that in radio, sound levels are somewhat important? Brad Flick can build a 1,000-watt radio station out of four blades of grass and a bar of Neutrogena facial soap. No one else there can so much as read a VU meter.

Since these quotes and many others on this board seem to come mostly from frustrated or out of work radio people I thought something coming from a listeners perspective might be a welcome change. Especially since I have been a listener of RED since it came on and CAT for many years before that.

The kid on the weekend in the middle of the night is very unpolished. He sounds lost and quite incompetant. I hope he gets better. I'm sure the dead air was not on purpose but Im sure that's not a good thing from an employment stand point.

RED does have good songs. They play songs you don't hear on BOB.

I like the people they have on the air. The guy in the afternoon, "Will" does sound a little unorganized at times but he has grown on us and we like him. At least he sounds real and live as opposed to prerecorded. "Hardcore"...you sound like you have personal beef with him. To say you don't like him is one thing but to cut him verbally like you do is a sign that maybe it runs a little more deeper than you let on.

Brad Flick is like an old friend. My husband and I have been listening to him since the old Z107 days. We have met him at live broadcasts and he is always gracious and friendly. His first partner on RED, Tag was a complete jerk to us the first time we met him. Seemed to be very much into himself and too bothered to talk. Enough with the beer radio...we get it, you like to drink. We were so glad he was gone one day. I can't recall the next 2 guys that were on with Brad. They weren't bad but didn't stand out too much. The new guy, Rich is the best partner Brad has had since Bobby and Earl. Very entertaining.

The girl on after them is Becca and she is good too.

The new girl at night should be on with Brad and Rich just because she is so entertaining too. We really like her as well, even tho we only get to hear a little bit of her because we have to sleep sometime!

As you can tell, we love RED here in Carlisle and after reading all that was being said about the station I wanted to get registered and chime in.

No worries Dr. Rock, if I needed to lighten up I would have gotten all bent out of shape because someone on a radio message board said I lack talent. It's all good though, I'm a big boy, I can take it. And as "i know" said, things are looking nice for Mix. I wish them the best.

Pretty good assesment of the station Kaye all those guys Rich and Flcik sound great in the morning and Will he holds his own very well. The kid overnight is a little rough around the edges but I heard him Saturday into Sunday and he sounds like he has either gotten his jitters out or at least found his way..He could be a good fit on the weekends.
