Judging from the playlist and website re-design, Red has gone more towards a true "Jack" format, adding artists like Dee Lite and Nirvana. I'm in Houston now and listen when I visit family in the Lafayette area and online at work so I don't know what local perception is. Personally, I like the sound of the station. I'm not a typical radio listener as I tend to listen to the stations that every company finds the need to blow up for no reason...Rock 93.7, 106-7 The End, X105.9 (Lafayette).
 
..and you mean you listened to 106.7 the end and don't recognize who "red" is? Sig of 106.7 KKND New Orleans... If I remember he is PD and Vydra is MD last time I heard.... Probably why the playlist has shifted over the past few months for.RFLA
 
Yet a couple of weeks ago while in the LFT area, I heard RED play a Frank Sinatra song (New York, New York) !!!!! NOW Jack doesnt even do that!!! (at least the Jacks I have listened to)....I do listen to the original Jack in Vancouver, Jack out of DFW and RED...all via the web streams....(and record them to CD so when on the road, I can still listen to them ;)
 
I recognized Sig's voice on there months ago, just didn't think it was relevant to format discussion...I believe he is doing a good job with the station. Additionally, I did not listen to Sig & Vydra b/c Vydra annoys the crap out of me...Steven
 
jack does play sinatra..jack.fm does anyway..they also play johnny cash on red :)

Yeah, those two are very lame and have never put a decent morning show on the air. Did anyone get fired at 93.7 after Katrina to make room for those 2? As bad as they are, at least no station has been dumb enough to put on Konos the Canker Sore, unless a station would like to insult their listeners like he did on WWL. :p
 
I don't know if anyone got fired , but I know that the PD and MD spots were given to them post katrina (when most of Citadel was let go if I remember) I hate to say it but the morning train wreck was alright for a alt. rocker but is totally weird sounding on a country station.But from what I can tell though, at least Red now has a better flow than they did a year ago when it started.. Just wonder if all the listeners got run away from it howeverRFLA
