Red and Martini 106

Red on the web has about a 65/35 mix of Christmas to normal format.
Some interesting things....heard great contemporary versions of Jingle Bells and Angels We Have Heard on High that really cooked. I'd love to know the artists (both female singers, kind divaesque in style. Then you might hear something from Stevie Wonder's 1968 Motown Christmas album. Christmas music is take it or leave it with me but I've suprisingly enjoyed this.

Also New Orleans debuts "Martini 106.1." They've got a web site but no stream as of yet. I've seen it described as a clone of Red but it's in a market with a much stronger musical tradition. Hope it succeeds.

I do, as well! One would think that format could succeed in New Orleans. I did notice a Cajun music station (KBON 101.1) is something like #7 in Lafayette...so, it seems to be a good area for well-programmed, properly targetted niche programming.
