Red Sox On Radio

Okay getting away from who should be banned, unbanned, who says what about whom, and who gives a rat's rump, anyways, it's come to our attention that the Red Sox are calling it a season. They've traded David Wells to San Diego, and the players that remain could hardly beat the Paw Sox. Heck, half of 'em were ON the Paw Sox less than a week ago!
You may have heard the stories about Sox tickets, usually one of the hottest commodities in town, losing much of their value? Ace Ticket is now even donating some tickets to children's charities (they're not playing well enough to justify giving 'em to healthy kids?).
The question: Will the Sox recover anytime soon? Next year, year after? And how must the Entercomm brass be feeling about the money they've just spent to retain the radio rights?

once the spring comes, it'll be like nothing happened. There will still be plenty of interest. One sh**ty season isn't going to end the Sox mania... this is still a baseball crazy area.

Fans have to hold Red Sox management accountable. Management has tried to build a winner on the cheap, refusing to increase payroll since 2004 and thus refusing to compete with the Yankees. While it is admirable to try to build a team from within, in a division in which the chief rival is spending nearly $80 million more, the Red Sox have no choice but to spend their money more wisely and more aggressively. Fans should refuse to pay the highest ticket prices in baseball and demand a better on-the-field product.

The red sox weren't looking to win the world series this year, the problem is we got some much production out of players that we weren't expecting it from. Mike Lowell, Kevin Youk, Gonzalez, and these guys finally started to come back to earth. the problem is around the same time everyone started to get hurt. The Red Sox are building towards next season, not this season. We might see see pap in the rotation next year, and I for one wouldn't mind a Schilling, Beckett, Pap, Lester, wakefield rotation

It is highly unfair to the fans NOT to play for THIS season. Considering ticket prices, fan interest, and the proclamations from the front office that they WERE playing for THIS season, management screwed the fans this year. And if they do not completely remake the bullpen, as well as sign a front-of-the-line starter, they should be no better off next year. Continuing to build on the cheap, they are going to go with Dustin Pedroia at second base next year. At most, he will hit .275.
