Believe it or not I honestly think they will refer to them by whatever station is running them in Boston, so by Saturday expect them to say WRKO again. I know, weird.
Varulven's suggestion is good about putting it on all their properties or maybe just one more: so if they gotta have them on either WRKO or WEEI, put them on 93.7 as well...though that may upset the WBOQ people
(since WMKK's tower is up on the North Shore, too, and it would steal away from them...?)
As for Howie I always find him interesting and the latest 12 plus shows WRKO is doing well, better than WTKK.
I would suggest they replace Finneran ASAP and maybe try some other syndie offerings at night when Sox
aren't on (prog talk people, here's your chance: would you rather hear Savage or Stephanie? Doyle or
Schultz? let WRKO know you're out there. Am not quite into either Savage or Doyle, preferring Ingraham.
But mostly "BIG PAPI STRIKES AGAIN!" is what WRKO is counting on...that is, when the games aren't on
WEEI instead because it's a Wednesday, or an afternoon, or there's an R in the month...)
By the way as far as putting it on diff. stations (Red Sox) is concerned, they want to spread around promos
for their shows I'd think. So when you tune to the Sox on 'RKO you'll hear promos for the Felon, Fineburg,
or Carr; on 'EEI, for D&C, Big Show, Dale&Holley, etc.
Would it be too much trouble for them to run promos for either-or? So even if you're listening on WRKO
they could still run a promo for a WEEI show. And vice versa.
