Red Sox Real (real?) time?

I turned on the sox game yesterday in Southern Rhode Island (102.3fm) and immediately thought Trupiano's voice sounded low and slow... like perhaps he had a cold. Then Castiglione spoke, and same thing, same low, slow voice. THEN... after an inning break... the broadcast came back with one of those quick pre-recorded commercials for something, maybe Mike's hard lemonade... both voices sounded normal pitch as they always do... back to the actual play by play... low and slow. I switched over the 630am WPRO and same low, slow voice. My question, finally, is this: Is it possible that whatever controls the speed on the output signal, was running slow? Or was it just my imagination?

were you on any recreational drugs during the broadcast? hahaha jk...i didnt catch it. who knows...maybe isdn issues, but it wouldnt SLOW the voices down. hmm..

I didn't hear the broadcast but I guess one of 'em (maybe both) had symptoms of laryngitis. They were talking about it on WEEI after the game.
