Red Sox set to extend radio deal with WEEI

Sure extend away, but please don't give us another 5 years of Castiglione. Guy has a voice made for silent movies, IMHO.

Unbelievable that a guy with those kind of pipes and little sense of humor has lasted so long in a major league p-b-p job. The sponsors and the Dana-Farber folks must love him, I guess. Don't get me wrong, I know he's got a reputation as a nice guy and an excellent broadcasting teacher, but like you, that voice makes me seek an alternate audio source (other team's announcers, even Sterling and Waldman) whenever it's his inning to work.

Today's Herald says contract may be for more than 5 yrs and Sports Hub dropped out of running as CBS announced their selloff. Would Ent. be able to buy some CBS properties here?Wait,CBS hinting they could do a spinoff via IPO instead.
