Red Sox TV

Has anyone else noticed that since the Red Sox have gone down the tubes, and with no Pennant or Wild Card to talk about, how very shallow Don Orsillo is?
How many times can we hear how many pitches has been thrown to each batter? I guess coming cheap made him the choice over Sean McDonough.

Smiling Tina isn't much better when it comes to depth either. Her Have-her-hill reference when Carlos Pena hit a home run to wina game showed a lack of prep. I am sure Gordon and Nick will be glad when the season is over. They have to smile and take her stupid questions night after night.

she's awful. she doesn't have a contract after this season so hopefully tom werner does the right thing and doesn't give her a new deal. but then again, sox owners have made so many stupid deals in a short period of time, she'll probably be back next season.

who cares, bring on football ;D ;D ;D

Yes, and now Ozzie Guillen can join Terry Francona on the area golf courses. As for the playoffs, are they split on ESPN and FOX this year?

yea, this year for many years to come.
the fun starts tuesday. espn has 1pm and 4pm games. fox
has the 8pm game which probably have the yankees or mets.
i'd rather watch drag racing or something even more boring
like hockey than yanks or mets in the playoffs.

Being a baseball fan as well as a Red Sox fan, I follow the action right up till the last out of the playoffs and will be paying attention to the AL and NL division series, champ series, and World Series. Will the Curse of
(Empire State senator married to a former President) continue? (no title since she declared herself Yankee fan!)

mets lost pedro and yanks don't have the big unit. sounds like a good hilary curse to me.

This is the last year for baseball playoffs on ESPN.

Starting next year Fox and TBS share the 1st round while Fox and a cable/sat channel have the second round. Fox will continue to carry the World Series.

fox won't be doing any of the first round next year. first round will be a tbs exclusive.
tbs will have all divisional series(any ovelaps go to tnt) which kind of sucks if you're a baseball fan without cable. well, it least it's on cheap basic, but comcash will probably move tbs and tnt to digital tier next year. is there the worst money grabbing company

don't write espn off yet. espn is still in the bidding process for half of the lcs package. fox will have alcs in odd years(starting in '07) and nlcs in even years(starting '08). espn, tbs and oln(or vs. or whatever the f*ck it's called today) are all bidding for the other lcs. my money is on espn to pick up half of lcs playoffs.

it probably also means if your market's team is in the divisional series, a cw station will probably get the local rights. so, if the sox are in the divisional playoffs next year, cw56 will probably get the game in the boston dma.
