Redding - Red Bluff Updates

Bustos Media filed a "license-to-cover" for its new Redding area outlet. KZTZ 92.1, Cottonwood, will broadcast from a cell tower just south of Anderson. At just 63M HAAT the Class A will use the full Class A 6kw ERP. off that tower located next to I-5.

No word on what Bustos' format will be carried but most likely it will be "La Zeta", also carried on KZSZ in Colusa (Chico market)

The Redding has other Spanish-language signals: KRBN, KTOR. Chico signals also rimshot into the area.

Redding is such a turd of a market.. i dont really miss it.

Surprise! I just noticed Bustos Media has added "92.1 La Maquina Network" to their "La Rola" app. La Maquina is a format Bustos uses in Central Washington State..

Indeed, the TOH ID is "KZTZ Cottonwood, Redding, Red Bluff." La Maquina can be heard on the Internet at:

KZTZ Cottonwood now has a home website. It's laradiodechico.com .Of course, that's the home of Bustos Media's Chico outlets. Somehow I don't thinjk valley-dwelling KZTZ reaches Chico, just Redding-Red Bluff.

KZTZ 92.1 seems to be on low power. Its signal does not even reach Redding. The tower is next to I-5 in Anderson so it's not a Park Fire issue.

KZTZ Cottonwood was sold off to a Spanish-language Catholic group. At the KCVV website there is a countdown clock announcing two new signals. One will be KZTZ, the other a translator in Chico.

92.1 had a lot of coverage issues with the signal barely reaching Redding
Perhaps the new owners will fix things. (The antenna site is a cell tower along I-5.)
