Redstone Urges Viacom Directors to Quit Fight

sooner or later, Viacom will merge with either Time Warner or reunite with CBS with Les Moonves in charge of the whole company. Summer Redstone should not be in charge of Viacom anymore cause well, he's 93 and should be nowhere near a billion dollar company.

Why Would CBS merge with Viacom again? I doubt CBS wants to deal with the dysfunction with Viacom now.

First of all, it's Sumner's money. He gets to do what he wants with his money. Time Warner has problems of its own, and is not looking to get into debt again. Viacom is in the process of creating a lot of new shows and trying to fix some of the problems that caused its current situation. A lot of cable companies got surprised by the change in viewer habits. It also caught ESPN by surprise. It takes a bit of an adjustment, and that's what they seem to be doing. It's going to take a few years.
