They are going to charge $12 a year if you don't have a collection, and it's free if you have contributed airchecks to the site. Remember that bandwidth, servers, fees to ASCAP, BMI, etc cost a lot of money. Reelradio has many supporters, that I wish would also contribute to airchexx.com so Steve could expand that site. If you love airchecks, support both sites. History cannot go away.

$1 per month is well worth it.

Hopefully they will have some kind of free introductory offer, or at least a way for newcomers to see a list what's available and hear some samples. It would be a shame if those new to the internet, or new to the site are deterred by an up-front fee.
 
We had discussion a while ago about charging for airchecks instead of trading. Though I will never charge and have never charged, I see nothing wrong with charging if the market will bear it.

Why are the same people who were so much against anyone charging for an aircheck in favor of charging $12. for a subscription to reelradio? Is there a different principle involved?
