Reezy is revealed!!

yes, it's Jay Rio. I do know what's happening, I don't work for Rusty anymore but we have been pushing for this for a while. As for The Bull, hope everyone affected will understand. It's a new station now, good luck to all who are working at......(you thought I was going to say it)

No disrespect to everyone, but it's coming soon!! I would love to hear everyone reaction to the change. I am coming in to check it out myself!!

Take Care East Tx Broadcast Brethern and Sisters!!
Hope all is gravy!!

No doubt there will be ample reaction--and posted here. The change will be an interesting excursion into the format conundrum.

Let's all hope that this long-overdueness of an urban AC come to reality. KZEY will definetly lose big time over the Bull's formatic successor. But I do know this: Next ratings book: The Blaze and the new 99.3, the #1 and #2 stations in East Texas. But then again, it's just wishful thinking. Let's hope for the best of the new format to come. Jay, I do agree that everything will all be gravy with the new urban AC coming. It'll be the icing on the cake.<P ID="signature">______________

I hope it is better than what R&R first forecast this station to be, which is NOT a true Urban AC. It sounds more like a mix of New Jack Swing with some 90's and R&B from today (if there is still such a thing). This would be foolish.

Focus on late 60's, 70's, 80's, and New Jack Swing. Leave the newer R&B to The Blaze. If you don't, you're just splitting hairs with your audience.

Hey Jay,
Why don't they just add the Blaze audio to 99.3?
It would work.

If they do that, that would create a rhythmic AC instead of an urban AC. Why can't they just switch up the frequencies just as the other poster said? 99.3 would be a stand alone for the Blaze while 102.7 and 106.9 goes UAC. That way the Blaze would have a much better audience with that frequency while the UAC on the twin frequencies will equal otherwise. Snoman, I do agree with what you are saying. If 99.3 focuses more of a rhythmic AC direction and not a true UAC, that would create audience confusion. I would stick with the traditional urban AC direction and focus more on the decades and a light 30-song current list and fewer recurrents. I mean whoever is consulting them for 99.3 needs to stay a year in East Texas and really find out what listeners REALLY want to hear more of. In other words, keep the format real.
