Reggae Channel

What does everyone think of the Sirius reggae channel? I know lots of people who like reggae, but this channel seems to be targeting suburban college reggae listeners, not urban communities.

I agree the reggae channel is not as good as it can be. I love those classic slow dubs but to me it doesn't seem like they play enough of it. They tend to stick more to the Dancehall & Soca types of reggae. It's good but it can sound better in my opinion.

My question is, why is the reggae channel in the rock category? It should be in the R&B/Hip-Hop category or under World like XM does it.

I think you summed it up succintly.

I find it adequate, sometimes a little soft, a little lite... but you got to play to your market and surburban college types are the market.

Very good point!

Thank you for mentioning that! Having the reggae channel under 'rock' and not under urban or world says a lot about who the channel is intended for.

I find it hard to believe that with all the research and executives agaonizing over every detail, that they decided to go with this version of a reggae channel.
