Anyone know what's happening with WJOB in Hammond? On air people have been saying their "good-byes". And it's simulcast sister, WIMS Michigan City, is off the air. What's up?

Supposedly WJOB is slated to go all-christmas today (as they have in past years) through the end of the month. What happens after that is anyone's guess. There's been some discussion about the station over on the Chicago board. Not sure what's going on at IMS.

matt is correct on the first part. IMS has tower work scheduled for this week. look for that signal to have a format which will be much more local in Michigan City in the very near future.

as for WJOB the daily schedule will change some at the very least, or the entire format could flip to something else. The owner has kept mum about that thus far, except to say some changes will be made.
