Strangest thing...I watched yesterdays episode of Live that I have DVR'd...the "Host Chat" was from November 1st...with the later segments of the show seeming more recent (and, with Regis and Kelly) in different clothing.

They had PREVIOUSLY RECORDED on the screen several times throughout the first part of the show.

This is completely different than what they normally do when a show is recorded...in those situations, they will usually have a pretaped "Host Chat" recorded specifically for that day...then, the later segments might be recorded.

But, the re-run of an old "Host Chat" is really odd. Does anyone know what happened?
 
The consensus seems to be that there was a "new" show on 01-30-2008, but that there were technical problems. I only tape the Host Chat and didn't notice a "general topic" or "outdated" babbling last week. An audience member reported that the Julia Louis Dreyfuss interview was pretaped. Some reported seeing the November 1 2007 episode. I am on the West Coast, so maybe they had enough time (3 hours) to transmit a technically-OK version. Central and Mountain time zones may have had to substitute. The R+K forum on TWOP has some commentary.

It seem that Kelly is not well-liked in those discussions...I think she is hilarious!
