Regis' Replacement???

Any word on Regis Philbins replacement? Or are they going to do an on-air audition, like they did when Kathy Lee Gifford left and they found Kelly Ripa?

Everything I've heard points to the latter...call the show "Live with Kelly" for a few months and see if anyone works out.

Read an article that Dana Carvey wants the job. Would he be a great replacement? He can definitely channel the impression of Regis.

It would take somebody like John F. Kennedy to get me to watch this silly silly show.

Would someone please check those coffee cups and find out what they are spiked with.

if you are asking for predictions, I'll go with Ryan Seacrest

I'll go with an off the wall prediction- Mike Catherwood aka Psycho Mike from "Loveline" and KROQ in Los Angeles. He had a nice chemistry with Kelly when he filled in for Regis a few months ago.

They're going to go, at first, with celebrity guest hosts to maintain the numbers through the November Nielsen sweeps. Jerry Seinfeld, who definitely doesn't need ANY steady job on or off the air, is going to be the first, starting IIRC a week from Monday. You'll probably see more stunting with big name guest hosts through the holidays before it gets really serious--and they'll probably audition two or three before announcing a "winner" by the start of February sweeps. I doubt they'll let it go all the way to the May Nielsens, though they could if their #! candidate isn't available until then...

Wasn't he the first person voted off of "Dancing With The Stars" one season?

Meanwhile, in other news, the person who will be co-hosting the show with whoever replaces Regis has signed on for five more years:
