"BE HD Radio Summer School"
Come one, come all - learn how to fail at rolling-out an antiquated technology ! :D

It's an engineering seminar. It has nothing to do with programming or marketing.

As I said, it is for engineers. Even the revenue part is focused on how engineers can explain the capabilities of the system to management so management can take advantage of revenue opportunities.

As much as it pains me to agree with Pocket Lint here, he's half right. Three of the six seminars linked on BE's web site are for engineers. The other three are for "management, programming, promotions, sales and operations."

And they are basically for management to understand the technology. In fact, it is really for technical management. I have the brochure, actually multiple copies, on my desk. You really think that BE, an equipment manufacturing company with no experts in programming or managing or selling for radio are doing anything except trying to sell equipment? The ones about marketing and programming are remedial level pap.

At least you don't have to go to Quincy to take them.

The HD Radio Alliance is so out-of-it, that they have high school students running around in orange jump-suits handing out HD Radio fliers, and those laughable HD Radio trucks driving around at CES shows. This "Summer school" sounds like something for naive high-school students, that have been suckered into investing in HD Radio. The technology is laughable enough, without aggravating the situation by a childish marketing strategy:

The webinars are being done by BE, who makes transmitters, AudioVault, consoles, etc. They licnese technology from iBiquity, and want to sell more transmitters.

BE has nothing to do with the HD Alliance beyond having sold some stations their transmitters.

BE has nothing to do with iBiquity except building gear using theri patents.

Your lack of knowledge of the broadcasting industry is deeper than the Puerto Rico Trench.
