I've been out of touch with the radio for a week, and I read that the Regular Guys Are auditioning for a sidekick. Anyone know if it's an open audition?<P ID="signature">______________

I haven't read anything but they've alluded to it on the air a couple of times. They had some guy who's probably on this board who sent four cassettes. If the guy's here I admire your spunk but...that stuff sounded like 1965 material. Eric pointed out his many characters were something like Hurdley McGurdly, Snidely McBridely, that kind of "Dan O'Day's How to Write Comedy" stuff.

They also had a production guy come in but he didn't seem to have the feel for their edgy, cynical sense of humor. He was more B98.5 or Steve McCoy-like.

I wouldn't care to be kicked in the side each morning.

Thought I'd read it on here somewhere. Been trying to catch up after being away. Must have read things wrong. I'd give it a shot if they'd let me. I could stand toe to toe with Wachs. Be his liberal foil no problem. Eric is no worry. He falls more, and more into the straight guy role every day. Wants to be "The Mad Pundit" more than a Regular Guy it would seem. A good foil might drive them harder. They have the talent to do better than they are right now.

As for them needing Southside Steve...

I don't think Southside would go back to being their whipping boy for all the asian massage parlor reviews they'd pay to send him on!<P ID="signature">______________
