Rejoice 880; What's up with them? WNSG or WMDB?

I've noticed that Rejoice 880, WNSG has filed with the FCC to return to thier former call sign, WMDB. I was listening yesterday and the live jock on the air mentioned that they were WMDB.

Makes me wonder if the deal has fallen through between Peter Davidson and Morgan Babb. I know Dr. Babb still owns the property at the transmitter site, and there was a clause in the contract between the two parties that Babb would retain the property and tower. The license was transfered to Davidson, BUT Morgan Babb was to keep 30 minutes of programming time on (Sunday Mornings) 880, free of charge. Babb was the one that put 880 WMDB on in the early 80's.

Davidson also bought 1240 WNVL about the same time he bought 880. The site for 1240 is on KDF's aux tower behind the studios. There was talk that 1240 was going to have to leave that site due to Citadel didn't want them there anymore. They tried to make a deal with Hoyt Carter at 1360 WNAH to diplex 1360 & 1240 on the same tower. That deal fell through.

Is things not going good for Peter Davidson in Nashville?

The return to WMDB happened back in mid-March. I've asked around about the WNSG calls or why the switch, and haven't gotten a satisfactory answer.

I heard quite a bit about the 1360 tower fall through, but never why they were asked to leave their other spot in the first place.

As for trouble, I haven't heard about problems outside of what most are facing, but I can tell you Davidson likes to buy and sell.
