Relevant Radio asks for Power Increase at Kaukauna, WI

WJOK-AM Kaukauna, WI has applied to increase its daytime power
on 1050 KHz from 1kw days to 5kw days, and increase its array
to five towers. The major lobe will go northwest.

Relevant Radio currently owns a bunch of 1050-AM's in Wisconsin,
except for WLIP in Kenosha.

Of course, they'll still have to contend with WHO in Des Moines
on 1040 in the late afternoon hours (50 kw day and night! )

Yesterday I heard WOKJ's tone signal over the WLIP's station here in West Allis, and it was audible. That would be something if WOKJ signal drowns out WLIP-1050, eh?

I love Relevant Radio, but I'd hate for them to interfear with WLIP. By the way, the correct calls are WJOK. And no, it's not 1050 The Joke! But seriously, the calls stand for "Jesus Our King." Before Starboard owned the station, the calls were used as a sports station, "1050 The Jock."

I can't believe you like that religious talk! This station along with 107.7 WVCY should be flipped big time! WPJP should be flipped to adult hits as 100.1 Sam FM. It's not even in the Milwaukee, Sheboygan, or Green Bay Radio & Records markets! If it was, it would probably be so bad in the ratings that it would, indeed, flip!
